Review of The Squad (2011) by Matthew L — 29 Jun 2015
A strong psychological South American horror/thriller. It starts similar to many other military based horrors, the military loose contact with a remote base so send in a team to investigate before all hell breaks loose. Unlike similar films this relies more upon the breakdown in command and the squads on paranoia than anything overtly supernatural. The film has a wonderful washed out and minimalist look relying upon the fog shrouded environment to create unease.
Well worth checking out.
