Review of The Social Network (2010) by Mitchell Z — 11 Feb 2015
David Fincher is one of my favorite directors, and to me The Social Network is his best film. In fact it is one of my favorite films I've ever seen. The story, the acting, everything is just flawless.
It tells the story of the start of Facebook, and Aaron Sorkin's script delivers suspense along with the exceptional direction by Fincher. But the real highlight of the film is the acting. Jesse Eisenberg turns in a career performance as Mark Zuckerberg and he portrays him as cold and ruthless while looking seemingly harmless.
The real breakout here, is Andrew Garfield. As Eduardo Saverin, Garfield is electric in every scene he's in. He is an absolutely phenomenal actor who can eventually be one of the best of all time.
It is incredible how powerful he can be. The Social Network is one of the best films I have seen.
