Review of The Sky Is Pink (2019) by Laurapa — 11 Oct 2019
This film fulfills what it promises in the trailer and in what way, it is an emotional roller coaster, you laugh, you cry and again until the end, the non-linear narration gives a different touch accompanied by the narrator, Aisha herself who with her personality puts that differential point between any other film of this genre (family drama) the performances of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar as parents going through the difficult situation of their daughter are brilliant and the chemistry on screen is a refreshing pleasure, very natural and fluid.
On the other hand, the performance of the young Rohit Saraf and Zaira Wasim perfectly complement the family. Congratulations to the director Shonali Bose, this is a universal film that touches all the fibers and I think that is the point of make movies, this is definitely a story that has to be seen, that has to be felt.
