Review of The Shock Doctrine (2009) by Sam T — 09 Aug 2010
From the directors who brought us The Road To Guantanamo, Mat Whitecross and Michael Winterbottom, comes a new shocking documentary about western capitalism. The film, which is based on Naomi Klein's novel by the same name, hasn't gained as much attention as their previous documentary, which is probably because it isn't as easy to swallow (although TRTG isn't that easy to swallow either).
What I mean by this is the fact that there are a lot of things to think about here and a lot of things to decide on as well, which means that you'll probably have to see this one more than once to really get all the facts straight.
I've only seen it once this far and probably won't get around to watching it again, but I did find it to be an interesting documentary.
