Review of The Seventh Victim (1943) by John D — 30 Mar 2009
Awesome early Satanist film that follows more in the vein of noirish detective film than later Satanist fare. A moody, well directed, and atmospheric romp from producer Val Lewton. A cheesy refuation of Satanism with a recitation of the Lord's Prayer detracts somewaht from the ending, but otherwise a fun and impressive early horror film.
