Review of The Secret Garden (1994) by China L — 02 Jun 2009
Classic story and quite a good remake and good story from a book. Maggie Smith was really good in this. Very well done. A girl, Mary, sent to live at her uncle's estate is having a difficult time adjusting and asks if she could garden.
The uncle allows her and she soon discovers that not everything is as it seems. Quite a good message that no one knows what is truly there until you open up, whether that's shown in human form with Mary and her cousin, or the secret garden itself which brings out the best in the two children with the help of a friend.
Great movie for children and adults.
