Review of The Rosa Parks Story (2002) by Denise H — 26 Jan 2010
Superb presentation...the only fault I see is that the racial bigotry was "tame" in comparison to the blind hatred exhibited by the KKK and staunch white supremacy advocates in the south. The movie tried to deal with many issues at once.
..black apathy, white acceptance of the status quo, the fear of change, the many hidden agendas of the whites in power. Especially telling was the dog being given a drink by his white master at the colored only drinking fountain and the Bible (in the courtroom) with the label "whites only" on it.
Rosa Parks was a very courageous woman who stood her ground and said "NO" and for that she will be remembered as the mother of the equal rights movement!
