The negative critic reviews of this movie ring extremely tone deaf. I don't know what they were smoking because the movie they describe is not the same one I watched. I found it completely unique and refreshing.
It's an extremely raw and real portrayal of people struggling through life with severe psychiatric disorders. The cast is great and the story is compelling and heartwarming. The kids, living in a practical hell, slowly learn to heal through their unlikely friendship.
I cried quite a bit. It's a beautiful movie about life.
