Review of The Promise (2016) by Monique S — 21 Apr 2017
As a great granddaughter of a survivor of the Amenian Genocide I can say not only is this film true to historical facts, but it is relevant to what is occurring in the same region today. My great grandmother escaped from the death marches in the desert of Der El Zor in Syria.
The fact that there has been a systematic denial campaign for the last 100 years is why most people haven't heard of the first genocide of the 20th century, and that is why this film is important and people should see it.
