Review of The Pervert's Guide to Cinema (2006) by Geoffrey T — 16 Oct 2008
All that I love about the cinema Zizek articulates in these filmed essays. Mixing philosophical inquiries and analyzing films through psychoanalysis... makes me want to continue with film if only to explore the themes and ideas presented through the films of David Lynch, Andrei Tarkovsky, Alfred Hitchcock and others.
A must for anyone interested in movies as being more than entertainment, but revealing much more about the level of complexity within the human experience.
