Review of The Patriot (2000) by Jose M — 13 May 2010
It's one of my favorite films with a lot of inaccuracies, but no one in the audience will pay attention. However, if you are concern about it accuracies, I am pretty sure you'll find some content overblown.
What makes the Patriot work is the performances from Mel Gibson, Chris Cooper, Heath Ledger, and Tchoky Karyo. However, it is Jason Isaacs that will be overlooked rather than be credited for playing one of the most infamous villians. His character will have audience hating him in an instant. He would later be beaten by infamous villian played by Christopher Waltz.
The battles in the flick are phenomenal and bloody. I enjoyed watching the battles, but took notice at the war crimes each side commits. It's really something if you ask me.
