Review of The Mummy's Ghost (1944) by Kelly K — 11 Oct 2008
Poor Lon Chaney, Jr. All he wanted was a career in movies, and instead Universal Pictures crammed him into every hastily-produced horror sequel they could so they could cash in on his father's name.
This is one of the worst, yet another quickie sequel in their Mummy series. "The Mummy's Ghost" is a long way from Karloff's 1932 original, and Chaney is a long way from better performances in "The Wolf Man" and "Man Made Monster.
" This film is recommended only for those with a serious mummy fetish.
