Review of The Mask of Zorro (1998) by Garsett L — 20 Aug 2018
Zorro is the type of person everyone aspires to be or wish they could be. He is a great role model. I can totally see how this movie might have inspired Assassins Creed. Damn, that's how you start a movie! This movie even inspired Red Dead Redemption! Daaaaamn!
Crazy how the mood changed so quick. One moment it was campy and funny, the next someones dying. These locations are really beautiful though. Makes me want to play Red Dead. The living conditions in that jail are disgusting. There's a good sense of humor.
This movie breezes right along with it's interesting plot and well paced story line. It's very well written. Zeta Jones is fire. She's looking good. Anthony Hopkins is the man! Must be so hard to not be able to acknowledge your own daughter as your daughter. There's some pretty kick ass sword fights in this movie.
This movie was pretty epic. I loved the aesthetic of this movie, very reminiscent of Red Dead. Especially that mining village.
