Review of The Legend of Tarzan (2016) by Joey D — 27 Aug 2016

I was finally able to see Legend of Tarzan last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it - as did my wife and daughter. As is the case a lot lately, I don't understand the negative reviews. Have movie critics become even more pretentious than they've been in the past, looking for dark agendas in every filmmaker's efforts? I saw nothing inherently 'racist' about the movie as some have charged and the accusation of it being sexist is absurd - Jane was hardly the damsel in distress.

This movie deserved a better fate. It was certainly more enjoyable than the recent Jungle Book.
