Review of The King (2019) by Sladeykaje — 07 Apr 2020
Robert Pattinson... holy ****.
Pretty standard medieval/Shakespearean drama, that's elevated by some great performances, gorgeous cinematography and some good use of humour. The third act is easily the best part of the movie - the first two acts are SUCH A DRAG. Also, the sound design and choreography of the third act felt pretty sharp so the battles weren't too difficult to watch. Wish Robert Pattinson was in this more though. He really brought a much-needed change of pace and inserted plentiful personality. Avoid like the plague if you were bored by the Revenant. 5.
