Review of The Island (2007) by Pavandeep S — 07 Jul 2011
A wery well done movie, beautiful images that seems like ethereal outworldness and yet spartan-like cold and bleak. A beautiful and sensual film, an honest depiction of one side of a culture, a very historical element blended well into the present narrative and seemingly flawless in its depiction of the religious life, an important element too and a behind the scene look into the entire atmosphere of the monastery.
