Review of The Impossible (2012) by Eytan D — 27 Jul 2013
With a story so inspiring, "The Impossible" is a heart-wrenching movie that works because of some incredibly powerful acting, not just from Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts but also newcomer Tom Holland as their oldest son.
The tsunami sequence is horrifying and it will leave you devastated, almost as if you've been thrown under the waves with this family, gasping for air. Overall, the movie gets everything right, and it never feels sappy.
"The Impossible" is the kind of movie that makes you glad to be alive.
