Review of The Help (2011) by James W — 15 Oct 2013
A perfect movie doesn't and cannot exist but even if there was a chance it did it would certainly look a lot like this. The Help is hands down one of the best movies of 2011. The acting is the best I have ever seen in any movie, you can't get any better than this.
Beautiful setting and cinematography, with a touching and very sad story that is impeccably acted, this film is flawless. The scene where Skeeter's mother gets rid of Constantine, her long serving maid, really got to me.
For people who get emotional quickly or tend to cry at films The Help will make you weep, but then pick you up nicely afterwards with humour and the character's willpower to overcome the discrimination.
A must see movie of the decade.
