Review of The Hamiltons (2006) by Noname — 28 Dec 2014
This film is not for everyone. As far as horror films go, the film is incredibly slow paced with much dialog and very little conflict. As a multi-genera film, this movie serves as a great coming of age story with very dark elements.
The film reflects elements of depression, dysfunctional family members and overall teenage restlessness. The film's cinematography is influenced heavily by the savage cinema movement of the 70s. If you can be patient, this film is very unnerving and deeply upsetting.
Despite the low budget presentation, The Hamiltons is one of my favorite horror films.
