Roth's penchant for gore is most at home in the jungle, at once paying tribute, but also electrifying a subgenre mostly forgotten by popular culture. I actually loved this movie for most if it's runtime (I never thought I'd see a jungle cannibal film in a chain theater) but the ending just leaves so, so much to be desired.
