Review of The Gingerbread Man (1998) by Greg O — 26 Jun 2010
Can't decide if this was the worst, or second worst robert altman movie. instead of wasting energy on that, decided to focus all my hate on John Grisham.
Have to say something about the southern accents as well. there are few absolutes in casting. genders and ethnicity are, in the right circumstances, fungible. But there has got to be some kind inviolable rule to outlaw all non-southern actors from being cast in any speaking role set anywhere in the South. the only exception allowed is if the director agrees to take a little bit of all the Spanish moss they throw around and physically drape the actor with it in every scene.
