Probably a little too quirky (narrated by a couple's cat), definitely self-conciously indie, the hipster pretention was laid on thick. nonetheless I was totally engaged with this couple - the first half of the movie was warm and funny and the second half was pretty heartbreaking as you watched them fall apart.
im very excited to check out miranda july's other movie now. I hate that my affection for this kind of movie is so predictable, but it is what it is.
