Review of The Fog of War (2003) by Brad G — 10 Oct 2007
Controversial film because the former Secretary of State McNamara is, some say, getting an easy ride in this interview about his decisions in the Vietnam war. I do not agree because it is the filmmaker, Morris, who formulates the 11 lessons.
And he gets McNamara to show his emotions. Glamourous use of archive footage and info graphics, special interview technique which lets McNamara look into the camera and see the interviewer at the same time, by using the "interrotron" invented by Morris.
