The Flowers of War was extremely sad, emotional, brutal movie that showed the brutality and rape of women & girls in China during Japan's taking of Nanking. It also has parts that are very elegant and beautiful and heroic of these women 2 take the little girls places and for Christian Bale's character 'John" to seem like a man who didn't care and only would help if the price was right then to become the school girls & prostitutes protector!
