The critics wouldn't know a true hero if they saw one. Having been rescued at sea myself, this is a true story of what really happens in life. Chris Pine's character says if perfectly , "We get paid to go, not to come back". The heroics are doing the job, The story showed real life as it was in 1952, and what the coast guard does. And the crew members of the sinking ship, are doing what you do in a crisis situation, you continue to excuse, you don't give up.
