Review of The Experiment (2010) by Nina C — 20 Dec 2011
A psychological thriller, showing an insight into the hidden animalism within humans. I love the subject of this film, how people can just 'change' and how others can be abused not only physically, but psychologically.
This film highlights some very important, but rarely spoken traits of humans - It casts my mind to how ordinary people, under the power of Hitler, could just mindlessly murder others... because they're a Jew. How they herd them like animals onto cattle trucks and send millions to their deaths - And this film gives just a snippet into how someone can change; even to the point of being able to justify to themselves murder.
Ultimately, this film should have had a wider showing - Especially since it's made by a first time director, and it's still just as captivating, brutal and provocative as any brilliant film... I can't see a down side to this film at all apart from the lack of people that have seen it.
