A big slap on the fanboys this, IYKWIM. Doomsday (2007) was loosely based on the Death of Superman series which was launched in the 90's to boost the deteriorating numbers in comic sales. The 2007 version left out the aftermath of the death of Man of Steel although judging by how this film ended, the sequel is going to stick to the origins. This is what Snyder should have done instead of mucking up everything.
