The legend of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai is one of my all time favorite Mandarin operas from Shaw Brothers in the 1960's. However, if Communist China animators want to invade our FREE West, they better rethink about hiring better translators, voice actors, and an actual scriptwriter.
The animation was pedestrian at most. Wow, how can one ruin this famous national parable about a centuries old feminist female cross-dressers? The movie's too cute to be enjoyable next time around!
