Review of The Big Hit (1998) by Morgan S — 08 Dec 2007
Sweet ass action comedy. Mark Wahlberg is Melvin Smiley. Melvin is a nice guy hitman with dependancy issues. Having just kidnapped his boss Paris (Avery Brooks showing how badass he can be) goddaughter (China Chow yum), he must now deal with his vengeful boss, Cisco (Lou Diamond Philips chewing the scenary), the mastermind behind the kidnapping who's just sold Melvin out, a manipulative fiancee whos parents are visiting, a gold digging girlfriend and an annoying video store clerk who keeps calling.
This movie kicks ass, great action and some laugh out load scenes (the dinner scene wit Elliot Gould is fooking hilarious). This is dumb entertainment of the best sort. Kick back, relax, drink some Rum and don't expect anything serious and you should have a great time with this.
