Review of The Big Country (1958) by Patrick H — 22 Sep 2008
The story of a man who arrives in the West to find things are a little different then back East. It just goes to show that no matter how much you may love or hate someone, no one can change who you are, even in the face of embarassment or death.
Worth seeing for Gregory Peck, Burl Ives (for which he won an Oscar), and the score and cinematography. It's a little too long but a classic Western nonetheless.
