Review of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939) by Jayden C — 06 Feb 2007
Ah, yes. The second installment in a long line of Holmes films. This gives us the character of Moriarty back. The plot is very involving and Rathbone is the only Sherlock Holmes who really looked like Holmes.
The famous detective is so stylized and treated with great dignity. The era that film purports to be in, Victorian London is recreated in great detail.
