Review of Suspicious River (2001) by Michael R — 10 Sep 2009
Disturbing tale of a young woman who works at a small town motel where she sells her body to many of the clients and ends up having a relationship with one man who is very dangerous. This leads her to confront whether or not she should break free of her own violent past, particular with what happen to her own mother.
There is also a little girl who is actually the woman when she was little. She talks to her childself and this incorporates into the plot as we get a glimpse into this woman's past. Complex in it's own way, it does a good job even though there isn't much of a resolution in the end.
