Review of Survival of the Dead (2010) by Brendan B — 10 May 2010
Picking up almost immediately on the heels of "Diary of the Dead", this film follows a group of national guardsmen (who actually appeared briefly two-thirds through Diary) looking for a zombie-free place to call their own.
The script and acting are both great for a Romero film and there are a couple of callbacks to the earlier "Day of the Dead". Nothing happens that can't be guessed at, but all the same I would call this my fave Romero-zombie film.
