Summer of 84 spares no punches, I have to admit that coming into this I expected the usual thriller infused with the jump scares and the typical build-up sequences, but weirdly this films functions well, well enough to offer a great experience based on a dying genre, throughout the film you're exposed to the right amount of teasing so you're gripped and towards the ends it delivers on it promises with a rather good ending.
What makes this different is the lack of the glorified happy ending we're used to, instead, it showcases reality and that's in my book is always good, Summer of 84 is worth watching for sure.
