Review of Stranger on the Third Floor (1940) by Ben H — 22 Feb 2012
Startling 'B' movie, with some okay acting all round and some stunning visuals considering the low budget - particularly the long dream sequence. The subvocal speech/subconscious narration is also inspired - and Peter Lorre's demented though sympathetic killer is sinister perfection.
A rewarding film.
