Review of Storytelling (2001) by Joe F — 30 Dec 2007
Sorely underrated Solondz flick that leaves you feeling dirty all over.
Never have I hated a character in a movie as much as I hated that little fucking kid.
I like the essence of this movie way more than Palindromes or Dollhouse, and this is his most "mainstream" of his films...but deals with the most subjects within it's small running time.
It's very funny in a satirical sense (i thought this guy would be different...he has cerebrel palsy! best line of the movie) but it's not as dark as his other movies tend to get. Plus, Belle and Sebastian do the score and it's pretty kick-ass.
