Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Ahmed B — 17 Mar 2016
~ Best Picture. Superb. It's not a biopic about computers and the guys - guy - who revolutionized them. It is, but it's much more. Redemption. "Spotlight" was worthy and ultimately about something bigger.
But for filmmaking & directed performances, this was it. Bravo! ~ Now then, watching old tapes on YTube of Jobs in situ with his staff he wasn't nearly as irascibly intense and spooky as portrayed; and Joanna Hoffman seemed much less of Winslet's personal assistant & more design theory involved - and probably should have been portrayed by Alicia Vikander.
Seriously; watch the old tapes. Hoffman even has a mild form of the Vikander native accent! ~ Old Apple'ers say the book-film has merit. So good show. Enjoy.
