Review of Stand and Deliver (1988) by Marcia B — 17 Aug 2008

Okay--any movie that makes a hero out of a math teacher is cool with me. Not enough movies are made about teachers as heroes, and they are usually English teachers. My mom and dad were math teachers. This is based on a true story and apparently some liberties were taken with the details, but overall it portrayed "a long shot", the hard work and perseverance, and how there are some things in the way of people getting an education in certain areas of our country.
