Review of Sketches of Frank Gehry (2006) by Laur Z — 04 Jul 2007
Very moving, beautiful and inspiring. We overheard a young woman working on the Gehry Brighton towers say they are defo going ahead! Yay. I like where Frank is at, but it is still a bit in that arrogant, postmodern, deconstruction wave that we need to move on from.
NOt really respecting the way humans want and need to live on the planet. A bit passe now. I want to see more natural, organic forms that address landscape and human scape, more elemental. But a great film to see if you are interested in art, life, beauty.
About much more than architecture.
