The original Shaft has live footage of Times Square and Harlem 1971 in a faced paced action packed crime drama. Richard Roundtree is the coolest of the cool playing John Shaft. Seeing it in 2017 is even more of a blast because we get to see that the same problems we had then, we still have them now! Earnest Tidyman who wrote the script also scripted "The French Connection".
Isaac Hayes of COURSE does the hot, hot soundtrack. This film got 5 stars from moi.
