Review of Salesman (1969) by Matthew D — 11 Jul 2008
The Maysles Brothers were documentary filmmakers back in the 60's and 70's. This is one of their better films about the lives of door-to-door bible salesmen. The film is good, but at times painful to watch the lives of these people.
I think in some respects it must have inspired later fictional works like Glenn Gary Glennross.
