Review of Route Irish (2011) by Roberto B — 12 Nov 2011
This is Ken Loach at his best. This is a hard hitting story about the murky extra-legal world of private security contractors in Iraq. As you would expect with Loach, the performances are raw and the morals are spread on thick (private security companies =bad) but it doesn't detract from the drama.
(NB don't be put off my the fact it "stars" comedian John Bishop, he's not really in it at all).
