Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Bruce B — 02 Sep 2009
What's great about this is it isn't a puff piece for Polanski. when you have both the defense attorney and the prosecution complaining about the judge and questioning his professionalism, you got a strange scenario.
no doubting Polanski's skill as a director and no doubting the press' interest in him due to his wife's murder at the hands of the Manson family, and his time in a concentration camp, you can see why this got alot of attention.
this doesn't make you feel sorry for Polanski, but it does let you know how a judge going back on his word would lead Polanski to flee to France.
