Review of Rocky (1976) by Dennis M — 30 Dec 2014
On Netflix, Rocky 1 through 5 are going to expire, so I guess if I'm going to review another series, even though the sixth is not in Netflix, I'll start with Rocky. This is an underdog film at the very best.
Sylvester Stallone is great in it and his script is amazing. It spends time on the characters which does it well enough to get to know Rocky. The chemistry between him and Adrian is very well done and make it seem like its own thing.
One of the best parts of the film is also the chemistry between Rocky and Mickey as Burgess Meredith is fantastic in this and really makes me want to see more of them. The fights in it are exciting to watch, and the characters are well-developed to the point of being memorable.
Rocky is one of the best underdog films of all time and has memorable sequels too.
