Review of Retreat (2011) by Cole C — 02 Mar 2012

A bit tedious, and somewhat over the top acting on all parts (though Bell is pretty decent as the 'bad' dude), I'd have likely given this movie a 2-2.5 if it weren't for the ending, which was absolutely perfect, so a full point bonus! Murphy's character is bumbling stumbling a bit too many times, almost more mentally than physically, for me to buy into his portrayal after about 15 minutes after Jamie Bell's character appears on the scene.

I almost found myself hoping that he'd meet his maker at some point -- whether I was disappointed I'll leave for the viewer.
