With everyone's minds on an apocalypse this was well played out with a bunch of teens trying to save their city. It shows true personalities, not everyone will make it alive and not everyone is brave enough for the task at hand.
It gives teens out there the seed to figure out if the world were to end how would they survive, no mom to cook breakfast and no dad to tell you what to do.
