Review of Pinocchio (1940) by Jason R — 10 Oct 2009
One of Disney's best films, Pinocchio sets a high bar for the other films. It's animation is flawless and the characters are very genuine and likeable. Unlike more recent Disney productions, the sidekick character seem to have more purpose than just laughs.
Jiminy is allowed to deliver one-liners, but also has a real role in the story. Though the story is a little episodic, Disney did a great job of making it flow and feel like one big story arc for the characters within it.
