Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Bryan I — 29 Sep 2008
"I love you more than I love my own filth!" Psychotic, surreal and simply Divine! The all time great from the king of trash. This film makes me feel like I was born in the wrong time and place.
A big "fuck you" to the cinema establishment and American family values as a whole. For those that get it, Pink Flamingos inspires us to make something great from the depths of our filthy minds.
Hysterically funny and deranged from start to finish, this film will always have a special place in my heart. Divine and Edith Massey should be made saints and Mink Stole is a national treasure. Completely lacking of any redeeming social value - just how I like it!
