Review of Peacock (2010) by Philip P — 25 Jun 2010
Peacock is a very clever film, well written and sharply directed. The acting is superb. Cillian Murphy was unfairly deprived of an Oscar nod for his dual gender performances. He was simply brilliant. The supporting cast is also top notch.
The film is set in mid-20th century rural Nebraska. The set design, costumes and art direction are all spot on. Why this film wasn't advertised better by Lionsgate will forever remain a mystery to me.
