Review of Paradise: Hope (2013) by Tor M — 16 Dec 2013
The last one of the trilogy and it's just as minimalistic and embarassing as the first two. This time everything is going down at a fat camp for kids.
Mostly we follow the thirteen year old girl that got a crush on her much older doctor. This is embarassing and unpleasent stuff, it's got that nasty look with sexual undertones. I do love the staticness and the bleak use of color, it's visually good - just like the others. Not as graphic, but it will make your gut wrench a bit. Still I felt it was the poorest effort of the series. Plotwise they are all different but they stick with their looser-vibe around the themes that the titles expose. Extreme versions of humans in an alternative and pitiful settings.
An all right film that's not for everyone. This is anything but entertainment.
6.5 out of 10 fat kids with nordic walking poles.
